![]() Submitted by Joscelan to AskDocs Ģ023.02.10 22:45 yeuwhatttt Cutting M1 tape multiple times I do have chronic insomnia, and running on 2 hours of sleep since Wed at 7am, so could just be from that, but it’s now a Friday evening in the UK and thought maybe someone in this sub may be able to advise or let me know if it’s my mind worsening it. I never thought to check before assuming it was a sinus issue, but after today I’ve correlated the two and it’s made me worry a bit as I’ve been feeling a bit confused lately. I just got ready to go to bed but the sensation has come back - and sure enough, there’s the blood in the back of my throat, but no nosebleed now. I’ve also had a strange pain - not quite earache, but an ache just behind the right side of my jaw/top of my neck. ![]() Felt a bit groggy/lightheaded, but not enough to change anything, I just didn’t feel well. It’s been a little on and off since, the nosebleed stopped fairly okay. Exactly the same as I felt previously - but this time wasn’t around me lying down or going to bed. I checked the back of my throat in the mirror, and could see a thick line of blood/mucus going down. However - that suffocation/blocked throat sensation started again. I was led in my bed didn’t touch my nose or anything to agitate it. Bleeding stopped - got on with my day.Ībout 7 hours later, I started sniffling a lot - and it had started again. I was half asleep so just waited for it to subside (I get them for a fair amount of time but they always taper off - and they come and go, so no real pattern to be able to get it looked at). I do get them, but they’re usually clots/thicker blood, whereas this one was more runny/liquid. However - this morning I woke up to a nosebleed. The bottom half of my throat feels okay, but it’s right at the back of the tongue/back of the throat. I spoke to my doc at the time who couldn’t see any issue when she took a look. I’ve had my tonsils removed (2004), but always had throat infections, laryngitis, etc. It was always at bed time, just about to get comfy and doze off and then just felt like there was something stuck in my throat. ![]() The sensation felt like I had something right at the back of my tongue/throat that just would not dissipate no matter how much I tried to swallow. (Google came up with Globus pharyngeus when I tried to search for a way to describe it). I would try to swallow but it was only by having a drink that it ‘cleared’ - but not every time. So - I am prone to migraines/earache which have recently gotten worse/more frequent.Ī few months ago I noticed that my throat would suddenly feel ‘full’ - like something was stuck. Not sure if these are relevant, but wanted to highlight my neurodivergence/mental health. I am autistic, and suffer from anxiety/depression. I am 32F, overweight, and am on Fluoxetine which has not given any side effects. ![]() (I’ve tried to capture a picture, but I can’t seem to be able to get one good enough to show what I mean) Hi there!
